Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and clean offer the convenience of cleaning dry debris and wet mess in one time and without the need to switch devices. They can also save space compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living areas.
A good combination bot should be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacle avoidance. Look for models that have docks that allow them to automatically empty their bins, replenish their water tanks, and wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's one of the simplest robots to set up that we've ever tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and an easy-to-follow guide will have you running with a clean and complete dust bag, floor solution for hard floors and water tank in no time at all.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. Its mops spin at high speeds and can apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, allowing for quick removal of dirt, pet hair, and dried sticky spills. robot vacuum cleaners uk comes with four power settings, as well as a selection of attachments and brushes and an intuitive app which lets you choose the type of cleaning you'd like to do for each room.
You could, for instance request the robot to clean the kitchen and the living room thoroughly but leave the bedroom in its own space. The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and its smart navigation technology are also excellent as the robot is capable of detecting tiny obstacles that other models struggle with. The only problem is that the robot tends to hit walls and objects at full speed. However looking at the cleaning history on the app will reveal precisely what the robot has done, where it is traveling, and what obstacles it has stumbled upon or avoided.
The docking station features an LCD display that shows the need for maintenance like emptying the debris and washing the dirty water tank. It is also able to mix detergent into the water tank automatically by using a 600ml eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop have plenty of run-time as well, with the mop being capable of operating for an 184-minute runtime in Quiet mode, while the vacuum is able to do 136 minutes in normal mode before needing to recharge or return to the base to replenish. You can also view the entire cleaning information in the app, which is clearly laid out and is easy to comprehend however we would like to be able distinguish between a vacuum only or mop clean, when examining a cleaned area in the cleaning history.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company's most popular robot vacuum and mop. In contrast to the model of last year it comes with two agitators in its mopping pad which significantly enhances its carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has enhanced suction power, which allows it to remove small hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners may overlook.
This Roborock model, just like the other two models I tested it has infrared and a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it avoid obstacles such as furniture, walls, and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and includes a dual-camera that can identify objects, determining if they're walls or other surfaces. It will then automatically alter its path and clean around the objects without a pause.
It's the most expensive model I've tested, but it also has the most features. Its sleek and angular design is striking and comes with three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which restarts the cleaning mop function, a button for cleaning that doubles as a child lock and a home-button that can bring the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid, you will find 350ml of dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank is self-emptying and the bin auto-refilling.
The only issue I encountered to this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount is not removable. While you can replace the mopping cloth (if needed), it's a pain to take off the mount itself to wash manually. I've noticed that any plush carpet the robot crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and can cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a range of smart features, including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app allows you to manage and configure these smart features. It also contains maps and advanced mopping options. The app also lets you to schedule cleanings, monitor the battery life and maintain your components. You'll have to go through some hoops to activate voice control on this model. This is a shame considering how efficient it is otherwise.

The robot can also reach under low-profile furnishings which makes it an ideal option for apartments with small spaces or condos. The side brush tilts automatically down when it spots wet spots. This is a wonderful feature that helps the X40 to avoid damaging floors by excessive back-and forth movements.
Contrary to other robots which only focus on one thing, the X40 is capable of performing both vacuuming and mopping simultaneously or individually. The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models on the market. It does have several characteristics that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub, a new feature of its mops, uses two high-speed mop heads to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a maximum suction force of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni, and it can remove pet hair and smaller dirt particles and also pick up spills and wet spots.
Its mops are also cleaned and dried inside the base station after every use. This feature is great as it keeps mould and unpleasant odours from building up in the storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature we haven't seen in other robot mop and vacuum models. It could be a great way to keep your home cleaner longer.
There's a plethora of options available which include the ability to schedule cleaning times and adjust a variety of preferences. The app allows you to make these settings or you can make use of the buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and offers many options to customize the cleaning routine. Additionally, there are numerous functions that other robots don't include, for instance, the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power whenever it detects dust particles, instead of using an individual setting.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most stylish robots we've seen on the market, with metallic and white colors that looks elegant and classy. It's a bit heavier than the other two-in-1 robots on this list - at around 4kg however it's not overly heavy, and it feels robust and well built. Mopping is well designed and the double-rotating mop is great for hard floors or in corners. They can even reach down to 2mm of baseboards due to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice addition.
